I want a quicker car, but heres the dilema. I dont want to make mine quick after spending all this money on it (and intend to spend more) to stack it on a track. So am considering leaving it as it is, getting it completely mint and just using it for shows when its done. In the meantime buy an RS Turbo, a Clio 16v or something around the £1K mark that isn't mint but to boot around quiet roads is ideal. Anyone reccomend a car for this?

Surely they gotta be a tad more £ than Fiestas, I would have thought.

I wouldn't buy an old cheap turbo ford! Thats just asking for trouble!!!
Mine RST was a nice one and that cost me enough to maintain!!

I got a thing for the Escorts, old skool toy. An as ill have the Corsa too it wont matter if it breaks all the time cos the Corsa's more reliable than a cup of tea! Fiestas are much more expensive and probably as unreliable. I know the image is bad, but I used to have bikes so still have a crash helmet

funny you should say that, my first car was a 205, a shit one like, but always fancied one again, with an MI16 engine in but they're quite hard to find.
