bumped into the back of a bike yesterday - at a junction for a roundabout a was just rolling forward without realising

a little bump and he looked back - he looks at his bike and then went

looked when i stopped and did not see anything - thought it hit the bumper and was ok but then looked when got home and there was what could be called a scrape on it. I think its just the top layer (will try and take a pic) so i think some polish should buff it out - you think that should be OK? Properly best to do it soon so no chance for rust - even if still see the scratch i am guessing the polish will protect it from rust??

So easy to do. I was going a little fast before and almost went into the back of a Royal Mail van. I blame the shitty brakes on the 106
