Im soon to renew my car insurance, love elephant £650 but im looking to change my car soon, when i get the money to an astra mk4. If i took out a year policy can i change the insurance to the newer car and pay the extra or dont it work like that??? o will i have to wait until next year?

Yup so long as they are willing to insure you on that model of car so check before buying it

Yes you can pay extra - could be a tenner, could be thousands - find out before you start the policy!

So am I right on thinkin that if I've been insured for my corsa for 4 months then I sell it and buy another car they will just swap it over and I WONT lose the 4 months no claims?????

If you keep the same policy you keep the NCB, if you cancel and move insurers you lose it.

when i changed from my nova to a corsa - they wanted £1400 extra!

So i changed insurance companys 6months thru the year

real pain in the arse - cos i would have 3 yrs in october - but got to wait till feb!

As i found out. Managed to keep the insurance going on the corsa as a 1.4 for an extra 2 months when i had the 2 litre (was also insured as a 2 litre with flux) then i got the extra no claims certificate from liv vic and sent it off to flux.
