Unmarked Police cars can't actually pull you over. They follow you until you stop then they hop out and have a chat with you, or they call for marked assistance who can flash thier blue lights and stop you....

u DO NOT have to stop for an unmarked police car but you acknowledge them and they have to call for a marked car to do so

It has blue flashing lights, and a police STOP sign, you have to stop!

Infact, it doesnt matter what car an officer is in. He could be in a hot air balloon. It is an offence "Failing to stop when required by a counstable"

Thats the exact wording. It doesnt say he has to be in a car covered in stickers, or hopping on one leg with a light out. If it is an officer of the law and they want you to stop, YOU NEED TO STOP! Your liable for prosecution if you don't. Your choice!

And how do you know they are coppers? A nice shiney warrent card usually suffices!

So what about women police officers - surely they can't make an arrest when they've got the painters in?

cant find it but i have the litriture here somewhere

might only apply if the car does not have warning signals

i thought that police had to respect your right to either be follwed to a highly populated area or have a marked car present

something to dowith car jackings/women alone etc

The way you tell if its a copper is by his ID. And the fact that 100% of umarked omegas ive seen have had coppers in their uniforms.

Id like someone to go and test this you dont have to stop theory
Even if you can get away with it whats the point? Police react to your reaction. think about it. You fail to stop piss them off. Rather speak to a copper in agood mood than a bad mood.

Common ppl use ure nogins

I could understand the reasoning behind not having to stop for a unmarked car but I feel this in practise would cause more trouble than its worth, twice the amount of coppers, twice the cost, twice the chance of shit.........just simple math.

Two different things were talking about here. Having to stop is covered by the Police Act or Road Traffic Act.

What the Police do is governed by PACE.
