This happened to my old Corsa. It involved taking a socket just smaller than the locking wheel nut, hammering it onto the nut then trying to turn it off.
My mate did it, I couldn't look at him hammering near my 17"s so I went for a walk.

See if you can get a tool with two teeth to fit in the slots, or buy another set with the same type of locking nut.

that sounds like the dogshit halfords own ones.
i had them on my old corsa and had no end of trouble with them.
the castleated bits on the key are way too soft and smooth off to a nice ramp which obviously then doesn't bite on the bolt.
if you still have the packaging, then you can get a new key for £3 from a store using the code on the box(each key is unique).
i ended up taking it to a garage who did the smaller socket trick on it. quite daunting to watch someone slam into your wheel with a lump hammer, but it did the job fine and caused no damage.
it's by no means a quiet process though, so i doubt wheels would be knicked by that method.

hammering a nut on works......
The best, but not quickest was, is to buy a gator grip....
do a google search for info on them...
