We've had what time's people got with their cars... but what sort of reaction times were people getting?

I got a 0.501 and a 0.540 ... As soon as the yellow lights came on I booted it

what did everyone else get?

I did 3 runs. Got a .3 reaction time in everyone. Best so far is .104

Where did i read that 0.500 is what the best top fuel dragsters get, and that basically anything under than and u've gone too soon....

Think it was on some RWYB santa pod info leaflet i got on the day....

I think what you've seen is that in proffesional drag racing they conclude that anything below .4 secs is a false start. Your reactions cannot work any quicker than that apparently.

In RWYB however these rules don't count so you have to guess when the lights will change. I tend to nail it as soon as I see amber.

If you're there just to go for times it doesn't matter how long you take to react.
If however you wish to race the car next to you then obviously the quicker the reaction, the more advantage you have.

Yeh I found this - I beat my mate across the line, but when we looekd at the times he was 3 hundredths of a second quicker swine

you cant react quicker than 0.14 not 0.4
