Just looking for some for sale and one seller says he bought the red top for his escort but has now bought another car and so is selling it?

you can fit a red top into anything with a little engineering

my dad built a 250+bhp red top for his mates mkIII escort tarmac rally car (gartrac convesion for people who are in the know about tarmac spec cars)

will get some pics up now providing i can get my scanner working

aslong as your prepare the engine bay for it to fit, and a bit of improvisation, it can be done, not sure what would have to be done for the dash to work with it though

Guy lives in the next street to me has a MK2 'scort rally car running a red top. Im sure it works and is bloody fast - never seen out his drive tho.........

yep, anything in anything, my dad had a vaux senator with a vw 2.4 tdi engine in it. mated up to the vaux gearbox too

There's loads about (rallying ones) they seem to be the preffered choice in the MK2's
