HAHA - You almost stuffed it mate!!! I was stood in the layby just before the camera, don't suppose you remember seein a blue corsa and a combo van? Christ, if there was something on the other side of the road, you'd have been dead.

Doesn't surprise me my insurance is so high when I see driving like that It was nothing to be proud of, you were out of control...

Wasn't out of control at all i knew exactly what to do, if i was out of control we would have crashed. Have skidded many a time to learn how to control it, and inside the car it was calm, my mate didn't batter an eyelid

yeah good one! i hate these people who claim they don't drive fast on here but you see them caning around. When will you learn were not stupid, we all drive fast its a case of when its safe and when it isn't, an before we get into this stupid debate about safety, think what your saying!

If you weren't out of control then why did you lock your wheels up?? And by your own admission, 85 mph in a 40 mph limit? Thats just plain daft. And why would you bother swerving across the road? The cameras can get you whichever side of the road you're on, the marks are just there as visual proof of the speed, by the speed=distancextime equation. It wouldn't have made any difference if you wre over the lines or not.

Whatever happened, you were just plain lucky

you carry on driving like that and you probably won't live to be a dad, let alone a grandad. Or worse, you might deprive someone else of the opportunity.

I'll admit we all drive fast but 85 in 40 even if it is for so many yards is a complete twatish thing to do. That 40 limit must be there for a reason?

If you're one of the safest drivers, what's a dangerous driver?

I was stood a few yards away from you when it happened, that was close enough. I drive a 1.2 as well; at 85mph, they'll still do plenty of damage if something untoward happens. As you say, people do make mistakes, and thats fair enough. I was just a bit concerned when I saw the act and then saw your post on here, which seemed to be bragging about it - when you actually had a pretty close call.

Anyway, I've said what I think I need to, so I'm not gonna keep goin on about it anymore.

(PS: you might wanna blank out your number plate from your online pictures next time you admit to doing double the speed limit you never know the lengths the cops'll go to in order to stitch a modified car owner up )
