You can pay 6.5k for one today but presumably it'll be a bog standard no frills 1.6? Also, whats the mileage? Has to be high for that price.

The most important thing is the resale. It'll probably be worth about 3 quid in a couple of years!

That said though, decent spec ones do look lush. If you can get one with leather then the interior is awesome aswell, very classy.

So what sort of mileage are you looking at for 6.5k?

Wouldn't have thought you'd get too many going through the auctions would ya?

Anyway, they're lovely looking, much better looking than anything in their class.

Possibly make it a GTA replica??

A Lupo/Paxo/Pug vs. an Alfa?

Easy choice IMO. Obviously the first lot perform better but they're just boy racer cars. The Alfa has class and style. Only problem is the damn depreciation.

Have you looked into a 156? Loads around with decent spec, full leather etc on the cheap.

ooo, just browsing the alfa site, i think they've dropped a bollock here

With Alfa Romeo Preferenza you will always get a fixed guaranteed future value on your car, so you are protected from the unpredictability of the car market. Simply choose a car and an appropriate repayment term between 20 and 42 months, select your annual mileage – anywhere between 5,000 and 25,000 miles – decide on the right level of credit protection for complete peace of mind and drive away.

Doesn't it only apply if you're buying brand new and on finance? Also, the gauranteed value will just be standard trade in so it'll be piss poor anyway.

BMW/Mini offer something similar.

How about one of these. You'll get a decent X plate or newer with leather, average mileage for about 6.5-7k

There nice cars was looking at the 156 myself before i bought the 106, and been looking at the GTV spider for my next car.

There is an expensive cam belt change at 50,000miles, think its an engine out job to be done by Alfa
