i've just bought the avalanche 1.0. its a good bike and has mech discs and calipers.

for £200 more you get the hydraulic brakes, a different set of forks and a different colour.

Looks like a good bike... but DO NOT EVER buy anything from Sunset Bikes. They are possibly the worst shop ever if anything goes wrong. I snapped 4 frames from them, all covered by warrenty, but they were getting sooo fucking arsey about it
