the way to shave...
spash face with warm water
put gel on face and rub in well (not foam it's crap)
shave with the grain claening razor every 2 strokes
re-apply face with gel and rub it in
shave against the grain to get totally smooth
apply an after shave balm....
bobs your uncle...smooth soft and doesn't sting..And i have sensitive skin
gillette sensor excel turbo(i think) what I use....

Another point. Use a sharp blade. Then you wont get razor burn... Theres no point using some old dirty pice of shit cos it'll cause lots of irritation!
