I have a W reg B in Star Silver. If I removed the bump strips should I expect a colour difference, this is something I really wouldn't want !!

Defo gonna err on the side of caution on this one

firstly try reading the faqs section!!!!
but the answer is no they are stuck on with sticky tape, on 1 side i heat gunned it and it takes ages to come off (bout 45 mins) then on the other side i yanked it straight off and white spirited it and that side took about 5 mins

Sure mate I have read the faq, but what I'm asking is whether there is a noticable paint colour difference. I understand the method to remove the strips.
Sorry if my post was not clear

But this was not the sticky tape or some glue ??

Think maybe the best bet is to leave them and get black(or grey ) stuff coloured coded.
Bound to get dinged in a carpark! I wish everyone had smart cars that they cared about, cos then everyone would be careful not to ding someone elses motor!

ring ya local bodyshop and get a quote on c/c ya bump strips, arches, handles, boot lock, etc might not be as exspensive as u may fink!

And no it wasn't glue just where the paint had faded I guess

3) continue to pull off
4)wipe with white spirit
polish it out
this is a 10 min job MAX!!!
no marks left on mine at all
