I am going to be lowering in the near future and was wanting to know what you people think are the best springs + shocks to use. Thinking about 40mm would be the best to do as i have 17's and a kit.

Cheers

I ain't shy on the funds but dont want to spend a lot. Have seen some lowering kits for about £250.

I am getting my arches done at bodyshop, would 60mm be ok or would that cause problems with bumps?

if you dont want to spend alot i'd go for g-max lowering kit,you can go 60mm on 17's the only problem you may have is the tyre catching the plastic nuts in the top of the rear arch, just take your rear arch off remove the threads and bond it back on with silicone

How good are they?

I don't know if i want 40mm or 60mm

60mm would look better but i dont want any problems with full loads and speed bumps etc.
