mine is due to run out in a month and i have got a good quote with elephant.co.uk, TPFT including mods for my Gsi, however........
i did the quote over net with saying i will only do upto 6000 miles per year.......
then i worked out accurately how many miles i do on average per week and then for the year and turns out i "might" go over the limit by 2 or 3 hundred miles by end of the year, maybe more maybe less!...
u think it will really matter that i tell them this??? as i tried it again saying i do 8000 miles and it made a difference on the quote by about £80 almost!!!

Wont matter, because you dont have to tell them how many miles your car has done at the time of taking the policy out, so how will they no youve gone over?

mot certificate shows the milage and norwich union rejected someones claim when they had a bump my dad said, he works for Belmont vauxhall which is part of the jm group and it was JM accident repair centre that told him this. I did about 20k miles over my allowance last year so since my dad saying this i am gonna tell them if i need it increased. if your car is worth alot i would tell them, saves them being picky when it comes to paying out

I told CIS i would be doing 6k a year. I've done 9k in 6 months. I think i will ring them and ask them to increase this. lol. I think this may also be a good time to get them about my 17"s, tints, lowered, skirts.....etc.
I never told them about one thing on my corsa, even when it was lowered, kitted, the lot. I had a crash and it was repaired however i wanted it.
I wont push my luck this time tho.

cheers for info guys......
thing is on the confirmation of details page it says its "ESTIMATE" of annual millege and i put down 5000, so i guess long as i dont take the piss and go over it too much its ok, as it is just an estimate right???
also the millege counter in my car was changed when it got to 20k so ive got documents saying exactly how much ive done,
and i dont think they make the effort to come and actually check your millege in the first place!!! so if u say you have done a few hundred (or thousand ) more than what is displayed in your car then i guess your ok, but then again if they check your millege on the mot certificate then your fcuked! risky!!!
