well to reflect on your scores against police recruitment you need:

4 shuttles at level 5 (5/4)

shows how fit the police are these days o and this is measured across a 15m thingy not your average 20m

i got just inside level 16 when i was about 16. used to cycle a load back then.

haven't done any exercise in about 3or4years though, so doubt i'd get past 12 now.

The beep test i did at school must have been really different to the ones you lot done, cos ours went into the hundreds. My best was 100 at school, but that was when i wasnt interested in being fit etc. At the time my P.E teacher could out run the tape which was pretty impresive. I did again at a great britaing ice hockey training camp. We did it as part of our off ice training and i got in the hundreds, cant quite remember the figure tho. If i did it now i think i'd be out of puff by about ermmm 4/5

i did it a few years ago when i was racing motocross every weekend and i got to 4 levels from the end, think level 20 is the top!
is a very good measure of how well your fitness is improving
