Got sent a letter today - saying iv got a parking ticket from haringey council in london - £100 fine for parking in a restricted area out of hours - 21 5 on the 21/3/04
only prob being... it was not me... well they'v got my reg and sent me this reminder - but i know my car was no where near london that night - hell i aint been in london for at least a year!
They've writtern down my reg from the original ticket but it wasnt me!
Is there anything i can do? iv sent the form back with the reparations bit filled in - its basically my side of the story and why im not paying it
Any one got any help/ adice what to do?

U've done the right thing m8, sounds like a cars going around with ur number plate on it tho 
It might be worth giving them a call if u have a number for them and explain the situation to them and see what they have to say.
I'm sure they wont press the parking fee tho once they know its not your car!

Er, having your number plate in your avatar might not be the cleverest thing to do, thats probably where they got your number from in the first place.

This happened to a friend, someone must be using your plate,which case you should also contact the cops and tell them what you think is happening.
Some guy was using someone elses name and plates round our area so much, the real guy kept getting pulled and the cops had to give him a passcode so they knew it was actually him. The guy got caught and sent down though for nickin radios and wheels and stuff and fraud.
