ECU?

One went on eBay for a C20XE for about 20 quid, I'm sure you'd pick one up for less than quoted.

Basically its a 1995 M reg Gsi

Ill have 2 pay the scrappy a visit. I nearly fell of my chair when he said £250 just for the part.
Where abouts is the ECU located?

Not sure if the GSi ECU is unique to the GSi, most likely though

theres a all vaux scrappy in brizzol ill begin there. the auto mechanic i use doesnt kno where the ecu is located tho???

Yes - torx the plastic sill plates off and I think there's one in the fusebox area and the side panel will come off, ECU just unplugs I think.

cos ya got a 1995 GSI i take it you got a X16XE engine, if it was a C16XE GSI i got a spare ECU ya could have
