That curve doesn't look very "real" to me.

How about this:

Taken from http://www.brooke-kensington.co.uk/phond2.htm:

This Dyno chart is for a Hondata ECU-tuned, but otherwise completely stock K20A2 engine, found in the North American market RSX Type S, and the UK-European, Australia-New Zealand market Civic Type R. Power was measured at the wheels.

Integra Type R? Hmm, nice flat spot on the standard (blue) ECU torque plot.

Nowt wrong with that Honda tuned torque curve - hovering just below 140lb/ft from 3.5-5.5K. Nearer 155-160lb/ft from 6-7.5K

And before all you C20XE bores start droning on about how torquey it is, it only makes 144lb/ft PEAK torque.

bascially gets around 130lb ft from 3000-5500 then VTEC kicks in and it shoots up to 145lb ft ish then drops down quickly

C20XE may only make 144lb/ft peak, but it's the way it's produced that makes it available across the whole range.

That's odd, because bhp is only calculated from measuring torque on the rollers
