Got me new car friday, got tints on it monday, will the vauxhall insurance be ok with it if i phone them and declare tints?

but if i had a crash, and they inspected the car, they will see there not, also had front side windows done which isnt a factory option

You could say some kids coloured your windows in, and you tried washing the marker off but that was as good as you could get it.

then they might turn round and say your insurance is void as front tints are illegal now

I think tints about 34% or something bizarre are illegal, and definately not legal in the front window anyway

Any one help?? some1 must have vauxhall free insurance then got tints off some one else(not vaux)

with any insurance you have to declare everything.
i would ring before getting the tints!!!!!

yes ring and ask them b4 hand.. if u get it from vaux then they may allow it...

thats the thing, rang them after gettin it done and said I was thinking about it, they said it was ok if done by vaux, insurance void if done elseware.

Would they ask for a vaux invoice to prove it???

afraid ud have to strip it all off prolly...

but thats the risk with insurance... bit silly shuda done all via vaux i no it expensive but it all standard and will be standard for every year of insurance

not arsed bout keepin it standard for years to come cos goin to mod it after this years free insurance is up. but got tints done thinkin would be fine.
Cant i pay more excess or put a little towards my free insurance etc????/

any1 else done somethin similar
