I have got a PIONEER DEH 6500 at the moment but it is mega overheating and ive got an oppourtunity to change it for an Alpine 9807RB with 4v Preouts, i am running a 450w amp with a 12" JBL sub, Should i keep with the PIONEER or change it for the ALPINE? or anything else aound £200

shouldn't overheat :s although I've got one and it does get quite hot. The Alpines a solid unit and good quality, if your Pioneers faultly get the Alpine m8

i think il swap it for anouther pioneer as i love the display and the ease of use.
i know you can get an adaptor to make an AUX input on the alpine, do you know of anything similar for the pioneer as i want to run sound from a dvd player through my speakers

i'm not sure i was thinking about wiring up my laptop to it and playing movies/mp3's so i'll go have a proper look for one now

well that didnt take long :s
its called a IP-Bus - RCA Interconnector and it allows you to connect an external audio source and a Multi-CD player through the IP-Bus input of any P-series headunit (except KEH-P1010(13)R).
