If i were to convert my x14xe to take twin carbs, what sort of performace gains would i be looking at?

Using the following:
Vauxhall Inlet Manifold For Twin Carbs Or Throttle Bodies

And what would be the difference between weber 40 and weber 45's?

Cheers,

Anton

my guess is about 120-130. I know of c20xe's making 190 on 45's so it looks like a 30-40 gain depending on how weel it is all setup.

its £139 for inlet manifold to take twin carbs, and £295 for weber 45, which i am assuming you need two of? I want to make my car a group N rally car in the long term, so thinkin these will do the job nicely on the engine.

no - if I can't have em you can't

basically he used to race MG's but crashed hard and my mum told him to stop - so he now has a nice 1850cc racing spec'd engine'd mg convertible that is lowered and on racing alloys - which runs on weber carbs with K&N filter's on the end... Vrmmmm Vrmmm... but he has em coz he used to have spares racing...

Go to Mini Meets and stuff always cheap carbs etc at mini shows... I think thats where these carbs will end up - my sisters b/friend builds loads of mini's and he's looking for some carbs.

haven't had it RR'd yet. It's not the same engine that was in there when he was racing - that car got completely written off putting my dad in hospital for a while

but no major injuries, unlike when he used to race bikes.

I keep trying to persuade him to take it to the pod. but it definately pushes you back into your seat when he boots it

i reckon 115-120 ish but u got to rember twin 45's will make the corsa very thirsty and carbs require setting up quite often where as with TB's once its set up its done.

depends if u wanna spend lots of money on rollers etc
you going to get other bits done like

cams
ported flowed head
exhaust manilofd and system
lightened fly wheel etc
alloy pulleys

mate had twin 40's put on his z tec s they didnt stay on there long. just if its an every day car i dont think it'd be too wise....just my opinion
