ive just ordered a brand spanking new clio 182 in gold black
thing is the car is setting me back £13,500 with extras. but insurance quotes are in the 5k mark i need help. the best so far is elephant at £4923. im just 19 with 0 ncb.
any help would be much appriciated. or ideas gow to lower the cost without changing the car.

i need a good insurance company too,just rang liverpool victoria about a 2ltr conversion and they said you have to be over 21

dont think u'll be able to find an insurance company that will quote ya any less than 3-4k by the looks of it!

keep ya money! buy a shed of a car, build up ya no claims and then use the 3-4k u would have spend on insurance on ur clio

im sorry mate, but i would never pay that much for insurance, especially for a clio. Fair enough, the clio 182s do look sweet, but IMO not sweet enough for that sort of money.

foolish boy!! i Cant believe you brought the car without checking that Only thing i can suggest is either try and get some sort of trade/any car policy or be a named driver on your 83 year old nans insurance either way your going to get raped!!

she's only 81 acctually. but just been quoted 2800 on mums insurance. getting better. (not much to)

Do you have a brain? Surely you check insurance before you purchase the car.

Gambit would love to see this thread, common sense would tell you that at 19 your not going to easily get insured on a 182bhp Hot Hatch

I would never pay more than £1500 for insurance, and it would need to be a pretty damn charming car for me to part with that
