I have been given a good quote from HIC.

Unfortunately there system won't accept my card details. Its a nationwide Flex account (VISA).

Now I have got to try and set it up in my mums name Or I could get an additional bank account I spose with someone like barclays.

What a load of hassle over insurance!

Need to get insurance with them to get my valver in my Corsa. Really putting me off changing the engine now. Feel like just doing some subtle stuff then flog it for a scooby or astra GSI turbo next year.

Can't you pay in another way like send them a cashier's cheque? Or wire the money or something?

does your credit card not issue cheques also??

i had a cheque book for both my Halifax & MBNA & Cahoot VISA cards

I have a cheque book, do direct debits all the time.
It's HICs system.

I'm gonna get a valver no matter what.

use your mum's credit card and pay her bill
just hand the phone over to your mum so they can veryfy it

just to be clear
insure it in your name etc
when they ask for payment hand phone to your mum and she uses her card so they get paid and u get insured.

then you pay you mum the money

She has a nationwide credit and debit accounts.

Will they verify it over the phone? keep telling me I have to get them to sign a direct debit mandate they're sending out.
