yeah had a look in autotrader, they were about £900, but the car looks brand new on the outside

Ask for a grand and sell to someone who cares more for condition and cheap insurance than performance. At the price a tatty SRi makes a more popular purchase. If you can convince someone to go for yours over that then you'll move it at the grand or just under.
