Not from my experience, i went in countless time's to get smaller part's and wasn't once asked for a chassis number.

Yep, same here. Got my clear lights, various interior trim, engine parts.....
No chassis number required. I do have to give a chassis number at Toyota though.

No, it was for the 328 coupe in my sig. And I have infact got M3 Evo clear front lights and repeaters.

hmm fair enuff but its not the new m3 is it? older ones arent a problem to get parts for

my da/uncle are fully trained bm grease monkeys and get parts all the time thats only why im stating!!

was in a while ago with one of my mates who had a bm n he needed the chasis no. some nice person with a bm could always go in and get me one

gotta be a new one that has the arial. Its usually only the M3 parts that they do this for tho; and the arials are on the standard new models

In my defence....

1) im not the kind of person whosteals things - never nicked anything before but desperate times call for desperate measures.

2) I didnt have time to order a new mirror and fit it without my mum finding out id smashed it

3) anyone who drives a car like that (and bmw's)and stays in norbreck castle can afford to replace a wing mirror - im just a student

4) im a girl so tosser doesnt sound right - bitch would be better

5) I didnt feel big, i felt bad but needs must




In conclusion........

Im very sorry to the owner of that car, but i only took the glass not the whole unit, so its not the end of the world, but i do apologise. stealing is wrong.
