I have got a P reg 1.2 8v corsa and I havent got a rev counter and I want one would it b possible to fit this? "Dash binnacle taken from a '94 Corsa SRI, milage shown is around 65000." I found it on Ebay and before I put a bid in thought I would get some advice.

its a straight swap but u will need to run a wire from the ecu up to the dash....... if i remember rightly its a green n white wire from the ecu but u do need to check.... if u do a search for it on here you ll find whatu need to no

On most corsas there is already a rev counter wire sitting in behind the dash anyway, it is, in fact, light green. You may need to upgrade your speed sender from the gerbox to an electronic version if you have a cable driven speedo... Otherwis it will be a straight enough swap.

ii picked my rev counter dials out of a 1.4 16v... theres a code on the clocks u need to get right other wise they will be out........... if ur car is a bog standard like mine is u ll def need to run the wire up as vaux dont run the wire up.... if its a 16v mod u may find it is behind the dash and if u lookin the haynes man you ll find some more details

i have a 1.2 8v p reg corsa which is bog standard. So from wot u lot are sayin i will have to run the wire up from the ecu yeah?

These will go straight in yes...... but the wires prob not behind the dash m8.............................

Green wire from ecu ------- pin into connection blk but chech connections

Some later ones have the rev counter wire in the loom, some need it running.

Cable drive clocks start at 10mph

Electronic start at 0mph and work in reverse.

Make sure you get the get same type - jobs a goodun.

Mine has a green rev counter wire, its a L reg 1.2 8v Merit!

they used to put all the wires in the oldr cars, which is y its there in an l reg even tho its bog standard. Depends on the year of yours on whether its there or not

myns a 1.2 8valve merit on a p reg i changed the dials for ones with rev counter-but the green wire aint there -and it aint on the loom- my car is the same as youres...
