Was on the way home from uni yesterday on the bristol ring road dual carriageway (which was really empty) and a Mondeo Ghia X 2.5 tank thing came up behind me giving it some, obviously wanting to get past/race me. So i floored it in 3rd and pulled a fair way ahead of him, we played like this for a while and he moved into the left lane, i thought ok you dont want to play anymore. All of a sudden he pulled out in front of me and booted it down a long stretch of dual carriageway, then moved into the left lane which was clear and so i booted it and got past him by a fait bit.
Got to the entrance on the next roundabout and pulled up next to me and gave me a beep andwound his window down.
He was a huge skinhead type bloke, and i thought 'uh oh'  he then shouted out, "What cc is your engine", i shouted back the answer and he said "yeah right i dont beleive you, that goes like shit off a shovel". I replied saying its a light car thats why its quick. He then said "i thought id waste you!" gave me a thumbs and drove off 
Whats the Performance stats on these things, it went quite well for a big car?
Top bloke nontheless, i thought he was gonna give me a bollocking

hmm thats raised a question can off duty policemen actually do that, and anyway he was speeding first and if he was a unmarked copper then he would have put his lights on. Otherwise he's speeding without cause.

they can do it unfortunaltly its normally a policemans word against yours

But surely with witnesses that he was speeding off duty without cause it would be contestable.
