Focus will be quicker due to lighter kerb weight, plus the gearing will be a big issue, ive got the F25 box which has long ratios, totally set up for cruising. 2nd to 3rd is rank it drops you out of the powerband for a couple of seconds which is where i lose ground and would give a gay 1/4 mile time.

cyber monkey yes Courtenay said they can do that, they are also looking at adapting the 6 speed box from the vectra C GSi, I was thinking more of the F23 box with modified final drive though.

seth sounds like a better option than a saggy reconned 28. F23 not so sure. You are nearly pushing max torque that the f23 gearbox can handle. Hell. what do i know
