all finished today apart from stashing the ecu somewhere and getting the exhaust sorted as it's blowing like a good un.
haven't really given it much of a run yet but it's pulling well compared to the 1.4i.
fabricated (bodged together ) an ecotec pipe adapter plate which saved chopping the bulkhead out for the powercap. the engine is still in need of a run in aswell after being fully rebuilt.
started the conversion last thursday finished today not bad considering me and my m8(<= a total star) did it ourselves and very satisfying turning the key and hearing it fire up .

- engine+box £250 after selling rest of the cav gsi.
- 300 bhp shafts £260 from justcorsas/novas (they fit straight into the existing hubs/f20 box)
- pipercross airfilter £30 from adtrader
- diy ecotec inlet rather than a power cap £0
- engine mount kit from lee mitchell £50
- new plugs, timingbelt, belt pulleys, head gasketset, oilfilter, oil, water pump, clutchkit and cool running stat about £300 from autovaux.
- exhaust will find out tomorrow.

i also had the engine rebuilt for about £500 (new oil pump, pistons rebore and gaskets) mainly because it was from a 90 cav and the oil was like tar.
fitting was free as we diy'ed it.
