tomorrow is the last day that my Scooby insurance runs out for this quater.... no more £225 a quater 
I've alwys been on Dad's policy as its been so much cheaper on the Scoob.. also driving works vans.. so always been covered.
Now I have the 599cc Smartie.. i thought i could get my own cover and build up NCD
Ok.. we start off
29yrs old living at home... driving since 1991 totally clean record I have no previous insurance so starting off at NOTHING of NCD
called up a few companies this week on the fone....
I asked to have my sister as a named driver on MY new policy (shes 21)
Prices started coming in at £900 with her on it... £750 with her not on it!
sod that.
My dad's insurance (CIS) guy came tonight to colect new 'quater' for the smart.... on his insurance.. with me as a driver.. they wanted another £44 to cover me till 12th June!!!!
The years cover from June wil be £175... on Dad's 67% protected NCD.. and he's 59!!!!!!
The same company giving me the insuarnce in my name......... £750!!!! :eek:
went on line with TESCO to get an online quote...
once agin me in my own name.... £360.15 as near as damn it the same cover as above!!!!
so went back to ammend it to see what they would charge to add my 21yr old sister to MY insurance...
Sit down.. when you read it...........
£365.40!!!!!
only £5.25 more to add her to my policy as a named driver!!!!
so bought it on line this evening at £365.40 and got another 5% off for buying on line!!!
so we are both covered for £347.13
its a far cry from the £1100 I'VE BEEN giving dad to have a scoob! lol
I'm saving money all over the place! lol
£20 of UL doing me 270 miles too... just so not used to that! lol

the  est smart i saw, was in manchester. it had tinted windows and the numberplate being B1GGG
