no, fibreglass doesnt stick very well to plastic. use fibreglass matting or bumper fill.

bumper fill is probably your best bet cos that sticks well to plastic.

plastic fibreglass

What you really want to use is what has just been introduced into just about every accident repair centre in the country, its called "fuser" plastic repair.
Its a new product thats basically like plastic welding... except it is a filler like substance which perminantly fix its self to the plastic.
Using fibreglass or filler is risky with plastic as it will not grip to the plastic properly and any kind of movement in the bumper will crack the seams. Where as the above is designed to flext with the bumper without any problems.
ITW finishing aka Devilbiss also make a flexable glazing putty designed specifically for plastic.
The above products have been designed specifically for plastic, you wont have any probs with them. They were introduced to the motoring trade because so much money is wasted every year with bodyshops just replacing panels rather than fixing them... so this is the new route with plastic.

The products i mentioned can be picked up by any decent motor factors or a local bodyshop supplier. If you also search the net under bodyshop suppliers etc, you will be able to order this stuff online through UK suppliers.

Happy sanding!

The last one from devilbiss is straight forward... u just squeeze some of the material out the squeexy bottle then its 2:100 mix with the blue hardener.

The other one by "Fuser" is pretty easy too. Its likea twin syringe ie with 2 tudeas of material. One tude is full of the plastic repair, the other tude is full of the curing agent. you then connect a special needle to the bottom of the syringe. When you squeeze the Syringe material from both tudes mixes in the needle so its an even mix of plastic repair and curing agent. You can either inject directly into a crack etc. or you can squeeze onto an area of the repair and spread it with a plastic spreader.
I hope that makes sense
