I don't really know about batteries and the way they work - I'd imagine it makes no difference, but does it matter if you connect your positive lead to the negative connector and the negative to the positive?

Usually red to + and black to -?

yes...? any problems if you don't do this?

I noticed my black lead was going to the connection (under the flap with a + on) and the red lead was going to the other one... is this wrong? does it matter?

Brosters is red to + and black to -

Mine (can just see in the distance is black to +)

It'll cause more than a spark if you connect the wrong way round
