Did you have standard suspension?

First thing everyone should do when they get a car is uprate suspension and lower the car.

I used to spin my sxi all the time, previously to getting suspension sorted - to be fair shocks were completely worn when I bought it... but not nice when you do a S manuvour - (swerve - or go left then right onto a roundabout) and the whole weight shifts and sends the back past the front

So glad I got my whole suspension kit, people who know me will tell you how I drive would hate to drive a standard suspension car now. - Wide wheels help too

Oh well, will have to kill myself on a bike then

I take it the dog didnt hang around?

If you can trace the dog then you can prosecute the owner for not keeping it under control.

And yes if you hit a dog and dont report it you can be prosecuted for failing to report an accident

unlucky , shud of took dog as a ransom , or took adress off tag and took it back home with a knife to its throat and demanded alot of dosh .

on a serious note even if u did his the dog at that speed there wud of still been mega damage and if it had of hit window then u wud of prob lost control anyways!

it just depends on ur reaction , i personally wud off done same as u i think

I had a rabbit run across the motorway in front of me when it was pitch-black one night, had full beams on because there was no other cars about so didn't see the rabbit until it was pretty much nose-diving under the car...

Heard a clunk under the car so flicked rear fog-lights on and saw the rabbit either hopping (highly unlikely) or bouncing (more likely) over to the hard-shoulder.

Checked underneath the car the next day, no signs of damage or anything loose (or a rabbit's head ), so looks like a good (or final) lesson for the rabbit: roads are for cars!
