Cool - so your big power gains are really coming from:
a) Cams
b) Redline to match

Sounds like good work to me

well all the mods together = that, just doing those cams and a high rev limit would be pointless IMO

True....clearly everything supports everything else, but those (and the ECU....missed that...) are the big gains, no?

cheers

Ah....you really think its good for that much extra power?

How much does the 1.4 have as stock? Its quite scary really - most modern 1.6 16v FI units can easily match my 105bhp from the factory Wouldn't surprise me if a new 1.4 unit is knocking on the door.

cheers

TBH it;s more likely to be 20bhp-22bhp, but thats how much they improve the engines

expensive though

I'm guessing the stock manifold must be fairly lame to be able to free up that much power? Volvo heads & manifolds tend to flow quite well from stock (lazy cams let them down), but you're unlikely to see more than the equivalent of 10bhp after doing a full porting job. (oops...hit post)

cheers

James
