Drilled air box with panel filter
Velos torque tube

Looking at a 15-18 bhp increase there for £500

drill the airbox and fit a decent panel filter like k&n or pvd 1, good quality stainless exhaust system!! Then after that if you still have the cash a mantzel or velos torque tube and unichip with a decent rolling road set-up!! Jobs a good 'un!! Or get NoS

a velos or manzel will give u 20ish bhp extra, velos is cheaper. then get a de-cat and exhaust, drill air box or get a viper type filter, then get it set up with a uni chip.

basically the standard inlet on the 16v engine is really restricted, so fitting a new inlet(there are two types velos, will remove this restriction, hence more air=more power the lexmaul is the other type it keeps the restriction but it creates a ram type induction force giving u more power, the lexmaul is a direct swop for the top manifold. if your going to mod ur engine any more the first thing you should do is fit a new inlet maniofld to de-restrict the engine in a way! a uni chip is £400 fitted from velos. look on their web site http://www.velosmotorsport.co.uk

Looks like either viper induction, velos torque tube and unichip or maybe look at velos's 1.4 16v turbo converstion when it comes out. On there website they have been gettin 175bhp on there prototype. .

definatly go with velos stuff, drill your airbox like this ----->

and fit a decent panel filter - forget viper....they're good but not worth £250 unless you have pots of cash IMO

personally i would do:

pannel filter & drill air box
full exhaust system and decat
stainless steel exhaust manifold
ported flowed head
set of cams
Mantzel box
unichip and raise rev limit to 7250rpm
maybe a lightened fly wheel too could be good

if funds are no object get some thrtottle bodies

alternatively you coulod look at JR's stripped out 1.4 16v with 136bhp

that has:

264shrieck cams
Mantzel box
ported and gas flowed head
SBD exhaust manifold
uprated valve caps and springs
pocketed pistons
piper venier pulleys
Omex ECU
paneel filter
BFO exhaust

and more to come

i've driven this and got to say i was impressed, they still lack torque but once u get it buzzing it pulls really well...almost like my 2ltr

They are good, and 100% euro, and it would piss on your GT, and look 100x better than your "alloys"
