Its definately not a 1ltr 12v, it has four plug leads and isn't DOHC, is it the pushrod Nova engine?

end of... its a c12nz. thats a 1.2. easy to tell because the nova 1.0 4 pot has a smooth rocker cover and also it didnt have a electric distributor. plus on the 1liter im sure the oil cap is on the left above cyl1.
it definitely not a one litre

Well it certainly aint the the 1ltr fitted to Corsa's, seeing as they are twin cam and 3cylinder, the one in the pic is single cam with 4 plug leads.
x10xe doesn't have any plug leads at all, the caps come straight out of the dispac mounted on the rocker cover.

Maybe its a typo and its a 1.2.

Dunno, the only other 1ltr I can think of is the old pushrod engine that was in the early Nova's but that hasn't been in production for donkeys years and I'm pretty sure it doesn't look like that.

I'm going for the x12nz as mentioned above, it looks exactly the same right down to the dispack, timing belt cover, oil filler location etc.

Maybe there was a x10nz abroad? If so its the first time I've ever heard of it.

well its definately not DOHC so its definately not a X12XE (1.2 16v) - which mine puts out 75 bhp standard.

if it was a 1.2 8v same as over here thats only 45 bhp!!!

the 1.0 12v is 55 bhp.

Did anyone elses video just look like a steaming pile of poo - loud music, nothing much happens, sounds of wheel spin repeated... and then a car dribbling past - not of 2.0 16v standard

If it was a 1.0 8v considering the 1.2 8v is only 45 bhp - I'd imagine the 1.0 8v to be less...

Maybe its a 1.4 8v (they're around 65 bhp arn't they?) - turbo'd.

Video was pretty wank, made worse by having that little weasle rapping on it.

1.4 8v is also likely seeing as he said 65bhp standard (pretty sure they are only 60 though). I've seen 1.4 8v turbo's before aswell.

Not trying to have a pop at the guy or anything, its a pretty sweetlooking motor and fair play for having the balls to whack a turbo on it, its just not a 1ltr.

though I'm sure he'd know what his own car is

To be honest though, why turbo a 1.0 8v? probably 35 bhp standard? (pointless?)

it would seem pointless, but to be fair, they run their cars on a different fuel in brazil, and i have no clue how that would effect the power output of the engine.
yes pointless on a 1 litre petrol, but maybe not over that side of the pond

For those who have a doubt!
In Brazil there is only a few engines for the corsa family as well...

1.0 8v EFI
1.0 8v MPFI
1.0 16v MPFI
1.0 VHC - 71Hpb
1.4 8v EFI
1.6 8v EFI
1.6 8v MPFI
1.6 16V MPFI

Thats no reason for me to lie...
my old car was a 1.0 liter 60hpb- Standart (by -manual)

Sorry about the video than...
