as titled, why did you buy your particular make/model of C, and why did you go for that over any other make of car?

myself, looked at 106's.... but the corsa was so much better, feels well built, goes well considering it weighs a ton and had air con, which then is the main reason why i chose the SRi over sxi! even though i pay quite a chunk monthly, im happy.

give us ya 2p's worth chaps.

bought mine cause i like my mums old sxi, kinda wish i had gone for the 1.8 as the 1.4 aint all that much quicker than the 1.4 but then the 1.4 had the new twinport engine went for the sri cause its looks good as standard, well apart from the exhaust which is changed now

Bought my 2003 sxi because it was only £7999.

Reasons i bought it over other cars were...
what car has sporty looks
cheap insurance (grp3)
good performance (12secs to 60)
leccy windows/mirrors/sporty interior/good solid interior/seats/
has alloys
good image
needed to be realiable (as im an apprentice and cant afford to fix my car every week like my m8s mini)
has 3 year warrenty
3 year aa cover
What car can you get all the above for £7999???? none so i got it!

Was going to go for a late B sport till i managed to get some extra funding for the C. Went for the SRi, as i had to have a 1.4, and the SRi's are rare as rocking horse shit, compared to the sxi's that are common .

Also wanted the better suspension, alarm, and aircon that the SRi's had. Landed on a winner with the car i found as it was the model with the updated interior, alloys and mirrors

twinport is just some new techonolgy stuff, generally means it uses less fuel and meant to give slightly better performance and has made emissions less which means its cheaper to tax my 1.4 SRi than my 1.2 SXi was

Ive looked at the SRI really liked it...i want it now...ive always wondered wy people go for the sxi's...personally pay that bit exxtra and get more- especially now- they have the sport mirros...16 inch wheels, lowered, everything c/c, dark lights, few c/c inside. I mean what else can u get hehe.
It just means that you have a base rather than starting at the bottom.

Its only recently that theres been much difference between the two. about 12 moths ago you were having to pay about £1500 for an extra 200cc, and alarm, and aircon, and most werent that bothered about the engine, and the other two cost £750is as options

bought my Corsa because:

1. Good insurance group for me (18 yrears old), group 5
2. Like the new shape and facelift characteristics
3. Good performance compared to most other cars who are owned in my age range
4. Not too small, not too big, seems safe (major factor in choosing as i written off my old car)
5. the new lights! lol

also was tempted to get the SXi because of the interest free credit, but didnt like the idea of owning a 1.2

When we ordered ours back in the day (Oct 2000)

They offered us free ins for a 17 yr old on the Sxi (me)

So got the wheels upgraded to Sri spec and I was laughin, no one had a car like it for at least a year.

Now every1 has one
