Broke down last night i reversed the car and then it just started revving tried all the other gears and got no response from the wheels.

Got out to have a look and the passenger side drive shaft was hangin down, the driveshaft end has like a big star on it that i think slots back in

Anybody know if a clip holds it in or have i caused more damage

Cheers Scott

u will usaually know,
if it broke at the gearbox end it will rattle when you start it up,

if you have broken it off the cv joint and its still attacthed to the gearbox then it will be turning when you select a fear

it may have just popped out, or you may have sheered it off like POA used to all the time!
