Eclipse Internet and Nildram are pretty much equals up for outright speed, both are 'wires only' providers i.e. we provide the connection, you buy your own stuff.

With Eclipse at £24 a month inc. VAT I'm on a standard 512/256 with a fixed IP.

I'd compare prices, and say I'm on a 1Mbps link for £10+VAT a month, but that'd just be cheating!

im curious to know why people were saying stuff like blueyonder, ntl etc? especially since only one cable supplier does your area, therefore if gav is in a ntl area, then he aint gonna be getting a 2mb connection from telewest now is he?
so your only options are: cable supplier, or ADSL if you can get it And if its adsl then obviously you have loads of options like dial up but choose wisely and read up reviews on adslguide.org. However, i would still say pipex, plus i used to work for them and know that its a great company and they get stuff sorted out quickly
