Yeah u can, then cable runs somewhere u have to locate 1st.
Happend on my corsa, just took it to a garage cost £20 to replave the cable

u need 2 peple one person pulls the thing inside the car whilst other pushes downwards on the bonnet, eventually it uncatches maybe a rusty spring

lol, good luck iv just fucked mine too, tried pulling the cable liek mad with a pair of pliers it wont even budge! cant open the bonnet now which is pissing me off as i want it open

yeah but they all seem like too much hard work lol! didnt realise how much i took this lever for granted till i broke it off!

My car rolled into my house last month n fucked me bonnet, to open it i have to pull the lever inside the car, whilst someone else lifts the latch up!!!

Or pull the lever try lift the bonnet a little then pull the lever more so it clicks the open up the bonnet!!!

My springy thing was rusty so it used to be a 2 man job for me too
