Your fog light are wired to the full beam of your headlights.

I was offered this option but have chosen to have them wired only to the dash switch.

is this always been like this or has this just started to happen?

It has just started to happen and comes on usually when i turn corners, so i keep on having to push the indicator back in.

push the indicator back in?

Sounds like a crossed wire to me - could this be the case?

I've got similar problems with mine, except my main beams randomly come on, especially after indicating.

I think mine needs a new stalk

If you actually want to use them in the fog i think yu get best vision without the main beam and just the fogs which are angles upwards....

So it would be best to have a seperate switch.

I agree with Mike - with the main beams on and the fogs the main beam light will just bounce back off of the fog and create 'clouds'. If you have just fogs on the idea is that the light goes under the fog therefore providing better vision - just most plonkers insist on having them on when its not foggy!
