All I'm going to say is that Alpine tell you to wire it to the battery for a reason. They wouldn't tell you to do that if it wasn't nesessary.

If your going to do it do it right.

mate listen i was correct in what i told u fitted about 4 of these head units corsa nut with all respect mate u havent got a clue what ur on about..........u fitted it yet mate or what?

the black wire which i can see on ur alpine wiring is the one which goes to the negative

Cheers for the help lads. But i gave up on it and gave it to Bass Junkies to get them to sort it out. Yes The yellow wire had to go straight to the battery and the Black had to be earthed! They charged me £45 tho

None the less, the job is done and it looks slick in my car (Check in my garage to see)

ur talking shite mate havent got a clue what ur on about have u even got the same model because this one is v powerful 60w thus thats why it needs direct feed standard loom aint powerful enough .......why am i even bothering explaining to u ...........

my mate works in ripspeed n they though ah bollocks doesnt need direct feed n they blew 2 head units up........dont think alpine just warn u in the book for the good of their health mate

nothing corsa nut its just for some reason the standard loom which most hu link up to this alpine one with the 60watt 3x 4v out put needs straight battery feed cant draw enough current from vaux loom

I thought that's what the fuse box was for?

Anyway i honestly don't know fuk all about ICE it's just i've fitted 2 of the type i've got and thought i might help..Unlike 90% of this site.
