rite ive never really used paypal other than to buy a couple of things off ebay at xmas and i signed up for it and paid with my switch and everythin was straight forward

but now i have sold something and recieved a payment it says i cant accept unless i upgrade to a diff account which i understand but i dont get this bit

quote:
If you upgrade your account, you will receive a range of premium features in addition to the ability to accept unlimited credit card payments. The fees on incoming payments are low - just 3.4% + £0.20 GBP to receive payments. If you refuse this payment, you may continue to receive money from PayPal members who use a bank account or their PayPal balance to fund the payment. To continue to receive payments for free, make sure that the people who pay you fund their payments with their PayPal balance or with a bank account.

It does you have to pay a small paypal fee which is taken out of the money you are recieving. On some paypal auctions you will see people asking for 3% extra to cover paypal charges (which is actually against the rules)

Its up to you if you dont want to pay the small charge, its just that the person paying you the other end has used a credit card instead of transferring the money through paypal first or setting up a direct debit with their bank.

If its an amount over £50 id refuse
