Ok im guessing you didnt build the pooter urself then.

So i dont trust u and im not gonna tell ya cos you'll probably break it


Basically you need to make sure you have a motherboard capable of overclocking and that your processor has a half tidy copper based fan.

Austin - where can i get a good P4 copper heatsink and fan, had a look around but not seen any i like, got a 2.4ghz but when i play games it goes up to 50-60 degrees

Firk 60c tops? That processor wont last long

When i did some 2.4ghz p4 machines i was buying these and some extra tidy thermal paste:

Kept the temps down in the mid 30's, and low 40's on high loads.

I know, when it's at idle it sits at about 32c then It goes up for games or when k-lite is running (which seems to be very cpu greedy) then it shoots up, it's an msi mobo which comes with corecenter so you can realtime overclock and has a temp and fan alarm

After SOMEONE hammered my intel p4 450 up, I had no computer So I thought I'd cheer myself up but with very little money so went and bought an Advent 3218 3000+ with 512MG, a DVD re-writer, N Vidia graphics card with 256mg and TV out and a 120 GB hard disk <----Think the hard disk is a bit low though

Oh and a plasma flat screen 17" monitor and a Hewlit Packard printer with a built in scanner and fax machine
