Not true, MR2 Turbo vs S2000.
Same BHP but the MR2 is quicker in a straight line. Thats what you get for having a poxy VTEC with no torque.
And the S2000 is lighter!!!

depends on turbo delievery Mr Kindness. turbo will produce more torque compared to the same CC of N/A motor. persoanlly I prefer turbo charged cars.

Been in a 280bhp Turbo Corsa
And Luckys 250bhp Throttle bodied corsa.

Luckys was much much much faster than AP racings car, u could feel the power, yet it still wasn't scrabbling for grip.

I'd say 280bhp in a 2.0 Turbo Corsa is about the same as a 2.0 on throttle bodies running around 215bhp (Stu Smiths old one).

Turbo is more tunable for big power, also is a smoother delivery + u dont have to rag the tits off it to get the power.

Did Lucky B's corsa rev much higher? Higher revving = take advantage of gearing, which may be why it felt faster?

Yeah, about 3k higher But u could still feel the power of the na engine pulling and pulling where-as the turbo felt much smoother. The NA engine felt much more raw.

Ive had both now - Highish power N/A 2.0ltr corsa on throttle bodies and a Turboed 350bhp Nissan 200sx. To be honest I like em both but the Nissan was much easier to tune. For £3000 I took the 197bhp Nissan up to 300bhp+ for the same money I took the 170bhp Corsa to around the 210bhp mark. Like the corsa though, the Nissan became a little bit undriveable in anything but perfect conditions so I have purchased an Impreza P1 for the day to day drive!

I think its all down to the capacity of the engine, a 3.0L Turbo @ 250BHP will probably mash a 2.0L N/A @ 250 BHP.

The 200 is unbeleivable. Ive had the wheels spinning at over 100mph in 5th when its wet cos the boost comes in so hard! Its just impossible to drive unless its 100% dry! Ive spun it about 3 times now, when boost comes in mid corner!

The Impreza is a good bus, does everything well really. Looks ok, 2 doors, fast (0-60 in 4.5), handles well (wet and dry) and brakes well! Very impressed!

Ill post you the pics of all cars soon Daimo!
