1) Remove old engine. (see Haynes manual)

2) Clean engine bay.

3) Prepare engine bay for the new engine
(This is can be found in the fitting instruction). This can be tilting the radiator forward to create space or shortening a coolant hose etc.
The engine bay doesn`t have to modified which concerns welding work ect.

4) Fit new engine into the engine bay using the new engine supports. These supports are specially designed so the existing supports points can be used. The engine hangs (except for a Corsa A/Nova with F28-6 speed gear box) in its original support points.

5) Fit drive shafts. Fit the wheel hubs.(Special shafts with special wheel hubs which are fitted according to the standard Opel/Vauxhall procedure). With these drive shafts and hubs you are insured of a reliable transmission without being afraid that something will break. The drive shaft is upgraded to 2.0 Liter specs.

6) Rework the gear level mechanism on the gear box. (expend the linkage 15mm thats if yourusing the PVD fitting kit which u dont really need to do)

7) Hook up the coolant hoses. Some hoses might have to be shortened.

8) Fit exhaust system. The exhaust system of the Corsa/Nova can be fitted to the manifold pipe of a 2.0 Liter engine. The manifold pipe has to be reworked to fit the exciting exhaust. You can also fit a sports exhaust system.

9) Connect the wire loom of the 2.0 liter engine to the chassis of the car. This has to be done for the petrol pump, coolant temperature, dynamo, starter motor etc. All these wires have the same color as in a Corsa/Nova. see a wiring diagramm.

10) Fit the sports air filter. and Powercap or Ecototec pipe

11) Fit anti roll bar and spacers

12) For some Corsa models the fuel pump has to be changed. the fuel pump needs to be a 1.4 16v or above.

13) Change the brake system. This means that the fitting of a bigger braking system from a 2.0 liter on the front wheels.

The drum brakes at the rear can be kept. This is possible because the car is light at the back and the drum brakes can easily cope with engine power outputs of 180 Bhp. With higher outputs (Turbo ect) the drum brakes must be changed to disc brakes at the rear.

and thats about all the PVD fitting kits tells ya
