Ok, could be a number of things i know but it has to be summin simple. Ive changed the plugs and leads. This reduced the problem. Its a 1.4 16v sport.

Havnt had the timing checked but its was fine yesterday, could be blocked injectors, fuel filter needs replaced??? all these things have to be checked. Just wondered if ppl have had similiar problems.

Gutted, need a new radiator as well.

the plugs in tightly? If you didnt do them check them this happened to me whenever the car got warm it misfired cause when the garage serviced it the didnt tighten them at all i could undo them without any tools.

It happened before i changed the plugs and yes i torqued the correctly.

It just happened. It dnly does it when ur in a gear at low revs and when ya floor it. Its misses then picks up and away. Kangaroos now and again.

HHHHMMMMM, before i put in my re-built engine my car started doing this, the re-built engine had all my sensors put on it cos 90% of them were almost brand new cos i was trying to get to the bottom of the idle problem, any how it didnt do it on the new engine, not that i drove it more than 100miles but i know the piston rings were fooked on the old block!!!

take the coil off and put it in the oven for 30mins on a low heat, I've had a damp coil prblem on my car for a bit due to the coil getting abit damp.
Is it a specific bank or a single cylinder?? Which plug is getting dirtied up??

None, they are spanking new. Its not the plugs and leads. Checked them and they are fine. It has to be a simple problem. None of the sensors would cause missing would they. Mind you the ecu light aint on.

Want I mean is diagnostically if one is misfireing you wil get carbon deps all over it then you know which piston to look at. I'd consider it to be a damp problem.

get a compression test done on the head and then ull know if its the piston rings. The piston rings went on my 1.4 16v and the engine needed rebuilt!!

I think so too. It seem to be much better now. We had mega rain and the bird had the car. I asked her if she went thru any puddles and her reply was "YEAH, IT WAS RAINING YA FUD" Ask a stupid question ya get a stupid answer.

I wd40'd the plugs etc but it didnt help. But its not really doing it no more. This cold weather wont be helping it to dry out.

Its not the rings i know that for sure.

Il keep ya posted.
