was working on an assignment and knocked the power. The pc turned it self off.

Booted it back up, when I tried to open my assignment it was all in code

Like :

How the hell do I get it back to normal??theres alot of work in it and its all like the above. theres 100+ pages all in code.

I'm worried I've lost it all.

Mac's are much better but not as versatile as PC's. XP is fine n ow, they have ironed the mass majority of bugs out now, it was a completly different OS, something that they weren't ready to create, yet Windows LongHorn should be amazing from what I have been told.

all this discussion is great, but hardly helping the poor guy is it?

try looking through the code and see if your text is in there somewhere? ITS POSSIBLE IT MIGHT JUST BE MIXED UP SOMWHERE IN THE MIDDLE, IN WHICH CASE YOU CAN JUST COPY THE BITS YOU NEED AND PASTE
