Nice little car, but like the 1.8 corsa, let down by a poor performing engine.

problem with the GHT is the engines lack of torque, extra weight, too high at the side and ugly front. engine does respond to mods. filter, manifold, exhaust UNICHIP would see around 150-155hp ish. have a look at www.puntopower.com

This is true, i've ehard they are quite tunable also. Someone produced a 300+bhp turbo'd one didn't they?

They look ok in yellow or that lightish blue colour IMO. My friend has a mk2 punto and it feels really flimsy. It's not an HGT tho so I don't know about performance but I have heard the same as already mentioned - not v impressive

cusin had one and he said it was so unrelible and costly. The electrics kept playin up etc if u decide to get one make sure its had a cambelt change as its an engine out job

Sorry but at the end of the day its a fiat!

Build quality is awful I had a punto and a couple of Barvas for comapny cars all three were brand new but all three had major faults after two or more weeks of driving them!!

just checked leon 1.8 20vt is a group 16 the punto is only 14....these are on parkers by the way!

and I presume your not referring to the cupra R!
