You are allowed 10% so if your speedo is well out you may get away with it. 10% is an extra 3 MPH in this case.

I'm not saying we don't I just wondered why you said that as it didn't seem to have any relevance because it didn't help him. Best not to speed in a 30 as these are the places they check most as you are most likely to go over the limit therefore easy money for government. One near us thats at the top of a hill pointin down so you have to hold the car on the brakes so it dont go over. thats not an accident blackspot thats a money making scheme.
Basically if you're gonna speed try not to do it in a 30

You can't argue the case if you've already excepted the points and fine. Did a police car pull you straight afterwards? or are you pressuming you've been done?

Carr, there is a road i use everyday that is a 30 but should at least be a 40. The cunts have police there pulling cars in but instead of staying in one spot they move all the time. It's a 15 minute long road at 30 which IMO is just a joke.

yes as part of the procuders in place for speed cameras they have to have a sign up beforehand else it is void, hence you find speed camera signs in areas where there are no fixed cameras, its so they can choose to monitor it with a mobile cam if they such desire.

a constable once got of a speeding fine because he said the speed camera sign in place before the camera didnt have a black border round it, this made it void. Obviously he knew the system but there are rules.

Did u know that they HAVE to publish mobile speed camera activity on the radio or in the newspaper so many days beforehand?

I know all this btw because i know sumone that works for a Speed Camera Procedures company

i think its 2 months before hand, no sure on the application to mobile cameras. You can also dispute the fact of it being there within the 2 months of the notification in the press

i heard of some1 getting away with it by refusing to sign the letter and send it back as you cant force some1 to sign a legally binding document? I think it went to court and the guy dint get the fine or points, this was a while ago tho

That loophole is now closed, if you dont sign it then the fine is automatically sent to the owner of the car.

Yep the whole 10%+2mph thing has gone now. You could ask to see the callibration report for the camera in the hope they didn't bother. I'm not sure if you have to go to court for this though?
